Cardamom buns are a delightful and aromatic Scandinavian pastry, often enjoyed with coffee or tea. These sweet buns are flavoured with cardamom, which imparts a unique and fragrant taste.

In a bowl, add all the ingredients. Mix on low speed until everything is combined. Turn up the speed an mix for 10 minutes.
Shape the dough into a large ball, wrap it with plastic and let it rest in the fridge for 1 hour.
Mix together soft butter, sugar and vanilla. Set aside.
Roll out the dough. It should be 1cm thick. Spread the filling onto the dough. Sprinkle your cardamom sugar on top.
Fold the dough in half. Cut it into portions and shape as desired. Place the buns on a baking tray and let them rise until double size.
Bake at 200°C for about 10 minutes. Brush with egg white as soon as they come out of the oven and sprinkle more cardamom sugar on top.
